From 1966 to 1970, James Brown produced three fantastic Christmas albums in just under four years. Quite an amazing feat for any normal human, but James being James it was just the norm. Over the years his various Christmas albums have been released in a handful of different single disc compilations, the best of which is the stellar sounding Christmas Collection: 20th Century Masters.
But suddenly there is a new contender on the scene, one that made me jump out of my seat when I saw the news. The Complete James Brown Christmas contains, for the first time ever, all three original James Brown Christmas albums plus seven bonus tracks spread across 2 discs for a total of 37 tracks!!
